Safety
Overview:
The safety of all camp participants is our top priority. All JOY Camp volunteers have completed a background check and Safe Sanctuary training to ensure that they are prepared to handle any events that arise during the week. Campers are supervised at all times and must remain in groups of three or more when traveling anywhere around camp.
Sign Out Policy:
We strongly believe that campers will get the most out of their time at JOY Camp if they are able to enjoy it without interruption. However, in the event that they must leave the grounds, a parent/guardian must notify JOY Camp in writing prior to drop off at the start of camp. This notice must include the name of the individual picking the camper up. A matching government issued ID must be presented at the time of pickup before a camper will be released from camp.
Emergency Communication:
In the event of an emergency, we will communicate with parents and guardians via the email provided during the registration process.
